My husband had bariatric surgery in June. When we arrived at the solid food stage, I was in a panic as to what to cook. Moist low fat and tasty food was quite an order.

I have made several recipes from this book and they have been really delicious and satisfying, not just a concession to the bariatric diet. They are not too fussy to prepare and a joy to serve and eat. When I first made the scallops in garlic and wine sauce my husband could not get over how delicious they were.

This is a great cookbook whether you have had bariatric surgery or not and I highly recommend it to anyone. Low fat delicious food is for everyone.

I am first year student at the St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies.
This book made me understand the basic concepts in Anatomy. Before reading this excellent book I had a hard time reading X-rays and understanding anatomical structures. I used it as a great supplement to my Anatomy book. It brought Anatomy all together. I have loaned the text to couple of first term students and they are thanking me now since Anatomy is made simple for them and they are doing well on the practical exams. I can not wait to take the Clinical Radiology since I have seen all the classical bone fractures, "cardiac shadow" and many more X-rays in this excellent book full of fun and helpful diagrams and comments. Every medical student should have this book from day one of medical school.

This text is not easy to read, but it packs a lot of information. You can almost guarantee that this book will provide useful info on any neurological disease. It is one of the best reference books for general neurology. I also find its end-chapter references to be fairly complete. One criticism is that it does not offer too many tables or illustrations.

I was given this book by a friend when I nursed my daughter and it was the only help I needed. The lactation consultant in the hospital never nursed her children, she was no help. I used this book so much and loved it, that everytime I've had a freind that was expecting and going to nurse I purchased another book for them. It has been a lifesaver for all of them as well. Very helpful wording and illustrations.

I agree with the first and second review. I use this book as a reference for hard-to-understand concepts. As a first year med student, however, I never really have time to refer to it because it is too content-dense. I would prefer a book with more pictures; perhaps just a picture section with pointers on important points.

I'm so pleased with this book. Now I'm one month out of surgery, and make one of the receipes weekly(which lasts for four days, i.e., four servings per recipe, and the other meals in my day normally consist of protein shakes). The meals are yummy, easy to make, for the most part, and are healthy. Some ingredients are harder to find, but go online to get them, it's worth it.

This is a unique approach to learning Zoology. The coloring aspect allows people to really connect what they are reading to the actual structures and ideas in taught in classes. Don't be fooled though, the idea isn't to just run through coloring everything to your heart's content. Follow the directions given and read the reading pages before/while you color and you'll learn a lot while having a little fun as well. The other coloring books available are especially recommended if you are a biologist and want to learn a little more about fields of biology that you are maybe not focusing on in college, Marine Biology or the human brain for example.

There is no substitute for First Aid when studying for Step I. None.

First Aid provides an essential skeleton to your studying. I do not consider it a complete source (you should also be using Goljan, Costanzo, and other various BRS, HY, and RR books), but I consider it a necessary source.

The book is really popular in the Nuclear Medicine Department and with the doctors who aren't comfortable reading Nuclear Medicine. This is quite simply a great reference book for anyone working in Nuclear Medicine.

If you are preparing for the OCN exam, then you should definitely buy this Study Guide. I highly recommend that you buy this and the actual Core Curriculum book so you can go through the questions in this Study Guide and review the Core book for points that you don't understand.
